IAUE 2016/2017 Matriculation Ceremony Reschedule [See New Date]



This is to inform all newly admitted students of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education that the management has announced a new date for the 2016/2017 Matriculation Ceremony.

Saturday April 22, 2017 has been announced as the new date for Matriculation.

The decision to shift the date of the
matriculation was taken at the fifth Senate meeting to give the 1,800 newly admitted students of the university the opportunity to conclude their registration formalities and secure
matriculation numbers before the ceremony.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele will also meet with students on Wednesday March 15, 2017 at the university auditorium by 12noon and all students are expected to be seated by 11.30am.

The forum which will have all the Deans,
Directors, Head of Departments in attendance,will provide the students the opportunity to dialogue with the Vice-Chancellor who will address all issues raised by them.

The Chief Executive also advised Deans and Head of Departments to have regular meetings with students at the faculty and departmental levels to counsel and guide them properly on what to do at all times.

Students who were offered admissions into the postgraduate Diploma in Education programmes will commence their lectures that same Wednesday March 15, 2017.

Some programmes by the university was
reviewed by Senate to ensure that they were in line with best standards after the Director,Academic Planning, Professor Vincent Asuru made a presentation.

The Vice-Chancellor advised that the
programmes and curriculum be redesigned in such a manner that the students would be empowered to be self reliant upon graduation.
