FUNAAB Admission Screening Exercise Important Tips For Success

According to jamb statistics, about 25000 students chose FUNAAB, thus, Prospective candidates scheduled for the screening should know that it is a privileged to be acknowledged admission worthy by the institution and it should be treated with such worthiness.

The admission screening exercise has been scheduled to hold between 7th and 9th Sept, 2016.
Prospective candidates should visit  http://admission.unaab.edu.ng/loginPASstatus.php now for their status.

In order to have a successful screening here are few tips to adhere to.

PRAYER:
First and foremost, GOD comes first and after God it's God. No matter how prepared you are, ensure you have committed yourself to HIS grace. No one can be successful except through God the Almighty. Pray for His guidance.
Always put it in mind that:
A dedicated faith is directly proportional to a dedicated grace provided prayer remains constant.

PUNCTUALITY
It is extremely sacrosanct that we keep to the time scheduled for the screening on our print out slip. If there are days we need to be responsible when it comes to being time conscious, the screening day is an important one.

GET YOUR SELF EQUIPPED
The screening format has been announced to be "INTERACTIVE".

the school has requested that all candidates should come with:

1)A printout of the screening schedule
2)A printout of your Application for Admission
3)A printout of receipt of payment
of Application Form
4)UTME Result Slip (displaying your photograph)
5)O'Level (SSCE, NECO, WAEC, NABTEB) Results
6)Birth Certificate and School Testimonial

None of these materials should be neglected. Ensure that they are neat, it's says a lot about your personality. In addition it is adviced that we have photocopy of all our documents, it will help in keeping them safe.

DRESS CODE
This is one aspect that we have to pay cognizance of. There are other days you can choose to dress to kill.
The dress code for the screening should be STRICTLY FORMAL.

Lets keep the following in mind:

*Wear a decent formal cloth, don't be too heavy. A nice shirt on pants would make your day. There's no problem if you choose to wear your suit and a tie. Avoid colour riot.
*Your shoes should be well  polished and fit the outfit. Conserve the power to carry those high heeled shoes for another day.
*Don’t show up sporting wrinkled clothes or unkempt hair.
*Don’t overdo your use of perfume or cologne.
*Switch off your phone or keep them silent and let your earpiece be kept in your pockets. Don't hand them on your ears.
*use light jewelry. Remove the neck chain, bangles and face cap.
*Your hairdo and makeup should be decent.
*Lastly, always put on a smile

Remember your appearance is a cofactor to your confidence.

WHAT QUESTIONS TO EXPECT
This is the aspect that prompted the write up. A lot of candidates have been enquiring what the questions would look like.

In all, there's no need to panic, the interactive interview session would be a test on one's maturity and responsibility.
Be your self, don't force a personality you're not. Be original.

Remember that there are thousands of other candidates to be screened, so be alert. Make every word count. Be straight forward. Give sincere, precise and concise answers. Be bold and let your voice be audible.

You can also do a little research on the school and what your course entails.

Lastly have confidence in yourself and let it manifest in your words.

COURTESY
We cannot over emphasize the fact, that the board that would constitute the interview crew are humans like us.

According to LES GIBLIN "... there is something deep in the heart of every man and woman that is important and demands respect."

You have to be polite, and be of best manners. Remember, when you're called in close the door with your hand behind you, walk pleasantly cool with your smile on and approach them with a warm greeting - very important.

Don't sit down except until you're told to do so (in most cases there's no provision for that). move your sight around the crew. Don't just focus on someone. Let everyone be gripped by your presence with your sight.

Remember follow up with a thank you.And you're off.

After the screening exercise remember to thank the Creator for the breakthrough and seek His blessings and success in the result.

"Each man is questioned by life; and he can only answer to life by answering for his own life; to life he can only respond by being responsible." - Viktor Frankl

Kindly Rebroadcast to every candidate you know.
