Many students until now are yet to understand what JAMB Meant by pin vending and has kept asking that question times without number.
Candidates are to note that Pin Vending was introduced after the scrapping of scratch Cards.
Below is what the pin vending means and list of banks authorized for the pin vending.
JAMB Pin Vending is a process whereby students wishing to register for the examinations make an online payment and get a pin with which they can upload their data.
This new pin vending can be accessed through the options of web payment, ATM issued cards like Visa, Verve, and MasterCard, online Quick Teller, mobile application and Bank Branch cash/card.
The Examination Board has also listed few banks authorized for the pin vending, they include:
- Union Banks
- Zenith Banks
- Access Banks
- First Bank
- SkyeBanks
- Eco Bank
- Fidelity Bank
- Jaiz Bank
- FCMB
- Sterling Bank
- GT Bank
- CBT Centres
- JAMB State Offices.
- Nigerian Postal Agencies [NIPOST] e.t.c [More Banks To Be Updated Soon].
We therefore advised students who are yet to register are to visit the nearest accredited centers , but in a process whereby your center is not yet authorized for pin vending, candidates are now free to visit any of the above bank for pin vending before returning to the centers to complete registration.
NOTE: Banks can also help you with the whole registration process.
The Joint Admission Matriculation Board has outlined the steps for the 2017 UTME Registration which includes:

- Pin Vending
- Registration which includes capture of 10 finger prints and a passport.
