KWARAPOLY Matriculates 7,000 Students For 2016/2017 Academic Session

It was a fun fare and amazing period at the Matriculation Ceremony of 7,000 Students for the 2016 / 2017 academic session of the newly admitted Students as a Mass
Communication, ND I student Akano Mariam Omotolani sang the Kwara State Polytechnic Anthem off-hand. Omotolani was admired by both staff and students as the Registrar,
Pastor M.O salami challenged the students who can sing the Polytechnic Anthem off-hand to come out and she stepped out
courageously and sang it.

A total of ten thousand naira,(N10,000) was dashed out to
Miss Akano Mariam Omotolani from the Management present at the ceremony.

Commenting on the student, the Registrar described Miss Akano as a promising student and a good ambassador of the Polytechnic.

He urged other students of the Polytechnic to emulate her.

Earlier in his address, the Rector
of the Polytechnic, Alh Mas’ud Elelu who was represented by the Deputy Rector ( Admin),Engr. A. A. Aminu urged the students to shun any act capable of tarnishing the image of the Polytechnic.

The Rector advice the newly
Matriculated Students to abide by the matriculation oath they sworn to by facing their studies which is their primary objective in the Polytechnic. He identified cultism,indecent dressing, exam malpractice, in-
subordination among others as some of the acts that can lead to expulsion.

The Rector also advised them to read the students hand book very well in other to know the do’s and
don’ts in the Polytechnic.
