General administration and students welfare services.

Highlights of Major Functions of General Administration and Students Welfare Services include:

Mobilization of graduating students for National Youth Service Corps ( NYSC) .
Processing of exemption from service and concessional postings.
Registration of Clubs , Societies and Religious groups etc .
The Conduct of Annual Students Union Election .
Processing and Issuance of students Identity Cards .
Arrangement for Scholarship/Bursary Awards Test/Fellowship.
Registration and documentation of students records .
Handling of students welfare and disciplinary matters.
Issuance of letter of identification to students.

Students information Services .
I. B .( i) HALLS OF RESIDENCE
The Division oversees the allocation, supervision and coordination of activities of students in the Halls of residence.
Handling of all matters relating to damages and maintenance of Hall/Facilities i . e. electricity ,plumbing , civil etc .
Arrangement for vocation accommodation for students on request .

( ii ) OFF CAMPUS ACCOMMODATION
The Division provides assistance to students seeking off- campus accommodation through its off- campus liaison Bureau.
The Units also handles all matters relating to student /landlord conflicts and other cases of off-campus misconduct .

SERVICES AVAILABLE INCLUDE
I. 1. Academic Support Services
A number of services are available to help students overcome learning problems and improve their academic capabilities .

The Division collaborates with necessary units of the university to provide the following support services:
Academic Study Skills
Writing and Reading Skills
Communicating Skills
Test-Talking Skills
Test-Anxiety Management
Study-Habit Improvement Skills
Overcoming Procrastination etc
Orientation Programme for fresh students among others

I. 2. Career Development Services
The Unit periodically organizes workshops,seminars and career talks on wide areas of vocational counseling.
Career decision making skills Writing of curriculum vitae Job interviewing techniques Coping with transition from school to employment.

Confidentiality
Confidentiality is our watchword. All interviewers,records and discussions are completely confidential . Case scripts on clients are not released to the third party without the consent of the client .

DRESS CODE FOR STUDENTS OF FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OYE -EKITI, EKITI STATE , NIGERIA MALE STUDENTS
I. 1. - Neat hair cut without patterns
II . 2. - Moderate jewelries without earrings .
III . 3. Clothes

( a) Upper Torso - There should be no exposure of the upper parts of the body.
( b) Lower Torso - Fastening of trousers below the waist line. “ Sagging” is not allowed .

I. 4. Foot Wear - Wear good pair of sandals , covered shoes or work shoes .
- Protective , boots for farm work only .

FEMALE STUDENTS .
I. 1. Head - Wear neat and decent hairstyles .
II . 2. Jewelries - Moderate Jewelries which should not be lousy .
III . 3. Clothes

. Upper Torso
Top should not expose the upper part of the body.
( a) No exposure of the upper torso.
( b) Strapless dresses and spaghetti strap blouses without jacket should not be worn .
( C ) Body hugs should not be worn without jackets
( d) Revealing blouses such as those that expose the navel and breast should not be worn .

Lower Torso
( a) Clothes should be chosen to cover from the waist to , at least , the knee in all postures.
( b) Hip stand trousers are not allowed without the belts and blouses that cover to the hips .

No sagging of trousers .

I. 4. Foot Wears
Sandals or covered corporate shoes and decent slippers should be worn .

UNIVERSITY CEREMONIES AND FORMAL GATHERINGS
Students must be corporately dressed for special ceremonies namely: Matriculation , Convocation ,
Male - Corporate dresses - a smart trousers ( Jeans are not allowed) suit, a shirt properly tucked

Female - Corporate dresses - a smart dress , skirt/ trouser ( jeans are not allowed ) suit, shirts.
