The Authority of Kwara State Polytechnic,Ilorin, Monday, approved the expulsion of five students from the Polytechnic for their involvement in various offences contrary to the
matriculation oath they swore to.
According to a statement signed by the Assistant Registrar (Academic Affairs), Mr. AbdulRahman Ola Muhammad, their expulsion was sequel to the approval of the report of the Students’Disciplinary Committee which is in accordance
with section 14.2 of the students’ regulations.
The affected students according to the statement are, Imam Murthado Olanrewaju with Matriculation Number HND/14/AE/FT/019 for
assault on a staff and disruption of official activities, Elebiju Rotimi with Matriculation Number HND/14/SLT/FT/095 for theft of cloth and hacking of the owner, while Adam
AbdulAzeez T. with Matriculation Number ND/14/QTS/FT/022, Muhammed Habeeb O. with Matriculation Number ND/14/COM/FT/461 and Khalid Olamilekan R. with Matriculation Number ND/14/PA/FT/56 were all expelled for
destruction of the institution’s property.
Meanwhile, the authority of the Institution had also approved the rustication of one Olutayo
Oluwatobi Elizabeth with Matriculation Number HND/15/BF/FT/233 from the Polytechnic for one
semester (2nd semester 2015/2016 session) for unruly behavior against a member of Dress Code Committee while the result of Toluwaleke
Gbenga Adeniyi with Matriculation Number ND/14/PA/FT/532 be withheld pending his appearance before the students Disciplinary
Committee for case of alleged vandalization of the Polytechnic's property.
The statement also added that all students involved are to vacate the polytechnic's campuses and hand over all the institution's property in
their custody to their respective Heads of Department."
